Tonelería Murúa bets on photovoltaic self-consumption

Murúa continues its commitment to sustainability with the installation of photovoltaic panels for self-consumption, a project under the incentive programme linked to self-consumption with renewable energy sources, within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, financed by the European Union – Next Generation.
This solar energy generated will be used to power a significant part of Tonelería Murua’s operations, helping to reduce dependence on other non-renewable energy sources and to preserve the environment.

A self-consumption installation has been carried out through the photovoltaic installation to achieve energy savings and a reduction in emissions of 65 Tn of CO2. The installation executed is a solar photovoltaic installation for self-consumption of 128.31 kWp and 99kW of inverter, connected to the grid, located on the roof of the industrial building, which will be responsible for producing electricity that will be self-consumed by the existing receiving installation in the building.
